Instagram cuts ties with Twitter: Top social media stories for Wednesday, December 5

Faced with a loud and angry backlash from some of its most active users, photo-sharing app Instagram backtracked Tuesday on new language that appeared to give the company ownership of their images.

-Instagram is cutting ties with Twitter. The company on Wednesday removed the option to send pictures to the microblogging site.
 
-Google gives its email app for iPhone and iPad a reboot. You can now sign into up to five accounts using the app. Unlimited scrolling in message lists and other perks are included.  
 
-Netflix and Walt Disney Studios have made a deal. Starting in 2016, Netflix will become the exclusive US subscription television service for Disney's new releases. 
 
-More and more retail stores are offering shoppers digital receipts in their email. Experts say it's an opportunity to send ads and promotions to the same email address their sending the receipt.
 
- Dunkin' Donuts' has launched a holiday Facebook contest. The chain is giving fans the chance to have your photo or video on a billboard in times square on New Year's Eve.
