Amazon cracking down on 'fake' reviews

If you give your best friend's book 5 stars, Amazon may delete your review.
The site is cracking down on reiviews it suspects are made by an author's family member or someone else close to the writer According to a report in The New York Times , thousands of reviews have been deleted.
Amazon's actions have led to a big debate on the web as to whether it is appropriate or not to kill a review. The company has not made any public comments on the matter.
