BELLE GLADE, Fla. -- Twin brothers were shot in Belle Glade early this morning, minutes before their car crashed into the side of a house, according to Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Terri Barbera.
Deputies responded to shots fired in the area of Southwest 5th Street and Southwest B Place just before 1 a.m. to find one of the two 22-year-old men wounded.
A nearby resident informed deputies of a second shooting victim located nearby on Southwest Avenue D and Southwest 6th Street in the passenger seat of a 1996 Nissan Maxima that had crashed into a home.
Barbera said the brothers were driving in the area when their vehicle was shot at.
They were both taken to Delray Medical Center, where one is in critical condition. The other brother is listed in stable condition.
Investigators were still on the scene at 5 a.m., blocking off portions of Southwest 6th Street to take crime scene photos.
There are currently no suspects and no witnesses, Barbera said.
The sheriff's office is asking anyone with information about this shooting to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.
