BELLE GLADE, Fla. -- Two schools in Belle Glade were on a temporary lockdown this morning.
Lake Shore Middle School and Crossroads Academy were placed on code red lockdown due to police activity in the area, according to Palm Beach County School Board spokesperson Vickie Middlebrooks.
The lockdown was later lifted. Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office officials said shots were fired in a house near the schools and no one was hit.
