PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. -
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office confirms there has been a second arrest in the murder of beloved Belle Glade Grocery Store owner Jimmy McMillan.

Johnathan Jones, 20, of Belle Glade is charged with being an accessory after the fact of a capital felony and with tampering with physical evidence.

According to the probable-cause affidavit Jones, who is also known as Pete, is seen in surveillance video entering the Alabama Georgia Grocery Store prior to the robbery and murder.

He’s seen walking up and down several of the aisles and eventually approaching the counter and purchasing a book of matches. But when he was interviewed he denied having any involvement in the homicide, the report said.

Investigators arrested 19-year-old Corey Graham Jr. after they say he robbed, shot and killed McMillan.

Graham’s mother said in the report she found a handgun in her son’s bedroom days after the murder, which detectives believed to be the handgun used in the crime, and she then put it in her bedroom for safety.

Last Thursday the report states Graham and Jones came back to Graham's home and went to the bedroom and Graham asked his mother if she removed the handgun from his bedroom.

The report goes on to say he pleaded with his mom to return the gun because Jones wanted it back or there would be problems.

It was then the report says his mother overheard a conversation between Graham and Jones, where Jones said angrily, “I am going to (explicit) her up and the family.”

Out of fear for her family, Graham’s mother returned the gun to her son who drove off with Jones, according to the affidavit.

This led detectives to arrest Jones and charge him with being an accessory to the crime and for tampering with physical evidence.

The report said Graham’s mother considered the two of them to be “homeboys” and have been friends since grade school.

Since the arrest of Graham, the report said her family has received threats at her home.

Judge Nelson E. Bailey, who is the judge for the western part of the county, said during Graham’s first appearance that tampering with witnesses would not be tolerated in this case.
