Victims ID'd in Belle Glade shooting

BELLE GLADE, Fla. - Investigators have identified the two people who were shot just before 8 p.m. Wednesday in the 700-to-800 hundred block of Avenue D in Belle Glade.

18 year old James Sanford of Belle Glade was found by a deputy and pronounced dead on the scene by medics. He died from multiple gunshot wounds.

20 year old Javarous Spivey of Riviera Beach suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was transported to Lake Side Medical Center.

Deputies say three men were standing on Avenue D when a minivan pulled up someone began firing.

One unidentified man escaped unharmed.

A deputy attempted to stop the vehicle suspected of being involved, but the suspects fled on foot.
