Belle Glade security guard injured in accidental early morning shooting

A security guard was accidentally shot this morning at a Belle Glade apartment complex, according to a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office spokesperson.

According to PBSO, the security guard shot himself in the leg around 3:10 a.m. at the Belle Glade Gardens Apartment Complex at 200 S Main Street.

Injuries do not appear to be life threatening. The guard was airlifted to Delray Medical Center for surgery, according to PBSO Sgt. Grant Henderson.
