Belle Glade canal crash: person rescued from car

BELLE GLADE, Fla. -- One patient was taken to Lakeside Medical Center with minor injuries Sunday evening after the person's car fell into a canal near Northeast Third Street.
The car was filled with water up to the windows when Palm Beach County Fire and Rescue arrived at the scene around 6:45 p.m.
The occupant was rescued from the vehicle, moved up the embankment to the rescue truck and then taken to Lakeside Medical Center, said Captain Albert Borroto.
