Remembrance Ceremony, 9-10 a.m., Roger Dean Stadium, 4751 Main St., Jupiter. County fire and police agencies will pay tribute to the heroes of 9-11 with a one-hour program that includes a keynote address by FDNY Battalion Chief Dan Daly, who was at ground zero. Call 561-243-7190.
9-11 Memorial Plaza Dedication, 11:30 a.m., in front of Fire Station No. 3, 5161 Northlake Blvd., Palm Beach Gardens. A steel segment from the south tower of the World Trade Center has been erected in remembrance of those who lost their lives. Event includes presentation of colors, speakers, patriotic music and unveiling of the memorial. Free. Call 561-799-4100. A health-and-safety fair with live music and children's activities will take place across the street at the Abacoa Amphitheater following the event.
9-11 Dedication Ceremony, 2 p.m., Tequesta Public Safety Building, 357 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta. Event will include a flyover by an aircraft from the Florida Air National Guard. Steel beams from the Twin Towers will be placed horizontally on two polished granite stands, alongside a reflective pool. A gathering at American Legion Post 271 nearby on U.S. 1 is planned after the ceremony.
