PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - Police have arrested 8 young suspects for allegedly vandalizing the Southbend K-8 School. According to the arrest report, the juveniles ranging from 8 to 15 years of age broke into the school on Monday.

Security cameras captured the suspects who allegedly caused an estimated $40,000 worth of damage to the property.

St. Lucie County School Security alerted police when they discovered that 68 classroom door windows had been broken into, along with fire extinguishers discharged throughout the school. Police said the suspects also splattered paint in one of classrooms.

Two of the suspects were charged with burglary and trespassing. The other juveniles were charged with burglary and trespassing along with criminal mischief over $1,000 and tampering with fire extinguishers.
