Helping Treasure Coast businesses hire veterans is a new initiative now underway on the Treasure Coast.
Workforce Solutions Veterans Services has a goal of getting 100 veterans hired in 100 days.
It calls the project 'hire a hero.'
Along the Treasure Coast, more than five thousand veterans are unemployed, and the team is working to place 100 of those veterans by November 11th.
"It's very critical to assist the veterans transitioning back into the civilian sector. They have a lot of tools, skills and abilities that Florida businesses will be pleased to have on board," said Jordan Kahle with Workforce Solutions Veterans Services
