Woman assaulted during burglary in Port St. Lucie

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. A woman is hospitalized after being assaulted in her home, Port St. Lucie police said.
The incident happened in the Spanish Lakes Golf Village early Friday morning.
Police say the intruder was burglarizing the residence when the assault took place.
The victim, described as an elderly female, has been hospitalized.
Police want help identifying and finding the intruder. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers at 1-800-273 TIPS or Det. Kristen Meyer at 772-807-4400.
