FORT PIERCE, Fla. -- A brief court hearing took place Thursday morning involving 17-year old Tyler Hadley, the Port St. Lucie teenager charged with killing his parents in July 2011.
Lawyers met very briefly in front of Judge Robert Makemson at the St. Lucie County courthouse.
The judge set an April 18 hearing for attorneys to facilitate deadlines for the case.
The case was also tentatively placed on the June 28 docket call.
Hadley is accused of beating his parents to death using a hammer and afterwards, we're told, he invited friends over through Facebook and hosted a party at the house.
He faces murder charges.
This story is updated to clarify that a grand jury indicted Hadley on two counts of first-degree murder in September of 2011.
