PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - Port St. Lucie police on Tuesday were looking for a man of thin build who wore glasses and took about one minute to rob a TD Bank in St. Lucie West, a police spokesman said.
The incident at the TD Bank at Southwest St. Lucie West and Southwest California boulevards happened at 2:47 p.m. when the man, who was about 6 feet tall and weighed 140 to 150 pounds, entered the bank and approached a teller with a note, said Officer Tom Nichols, police department spokesman.
The man tried to give the note to the teller, but the teller refused. The man told the teller to give him the money without a dye pack or GPS device. The man left the bank with the note and an undisclosed amount of money.
The man was in and out of the bank in about one minute, Nichols said. No one was injured.
Nichols said at least one other person was in the bank at the time.
The man is white and has short dark hair. He wore white sneakers, blue jeans and a light brown shirt.
Police searched the area and called a K-9 officer to the scene for tracking.
