PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - Port St. Lucie police have a new crime to chew on after the reported theft of a gumball machine.
It was lifted from the St. Lucie Medical Center Saturday night.
Police released surveillance video of three males walking into the building and mugging for a surveillance camera.
It later shows one picking up the machine and walking out the door with it.
A witness told police he saw the trio taking pictures of each other with the machine as they walked toward their white Chevrolet Cavalier. He said they were laughing at the time.
Police say they later found what appeared to be the bottom of the machine near Southeast Hillmoor Drive and Southeast Tiffany Avenue.
The bubble top is still missing.
Anyone who recognizes the suspects is asked to call Port St. Lucie police or Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers at 1-800-273 TIPS.
