5 people, suspected of robbing at least two banks in St. Lucie County, made their first appearances in court Tuesday.
The four men and one woman are from Palm Beach and St. Lucie Counties.
They're accused of holding up banks in Fort Pierce and Port St. Lucie within minutes of one another Monday morning.'
Four of the five were caught after police stopped their getaway car in a Port St. Lucie neighborhood.
Shots were fired but no one was hit.
The FBI has gotten involved to see if this group is responsible for other bank robberies in the region.
