PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - A police-involved shooting in Port St. Lucie left an officer injured and one man dead.
Port St. Lucie Police SWAT team responded to a call regarding an armed suicidal man on the 2800 block of SE Peru Street in Port St. Lucie at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Shots were fired in the rear of the house after officers encountered a suicidal man identified by police as 46-year-old Daniel Ross Fuller.
Officer Al Corona was shot during an exchange of gunfire between him and Fuller, according to police.
Officer Corona is good condition after being shot in the arm, according to Port St. Lucie spokesman Sergeant Frank Sabol.
Fuller was transported to St. Lucie Medical Center on Saturday night and died Sunday afternoon, according to Port St. Lucie Police.
