PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - There's something new for some of Port St. Lucie's four-legged residents.
Plenty of wagging tails approve of the city's first ever dog park.
The off-leash play area inside Lyngate Park opened Tuesday afternoon. It has three fenced in areas for different dog sizes.
"Dogs are cooped up or on the leash. Here they get to interchange with other dogs and if you notice none of the dogs are growling at each other. They're all pleasant. All the people should be as nice as the dogs," said Tom Wolk.
Dog owners are reminded there are dog waste bags to clean up after their pet. The park will be open every day from 8 a-m to sunset.
