PORT ST. LUCIE, fla. - Police in Port St. Lucie are looking for a BB-gun bandit who is responsible for shooting out the windows on at least 50 vehicles.
The shooter targeted cars throughout the western part of the city overnight.
Erin Perry's car was among those shot, although it wasn't obvious at first.
Perry got up at 6 Tuesday morning to head to class for an exam she had to take. She had returned home late last night and didn't hear anything overnight so she didn't even realize her car had been damaged until after she came home.
"The windows were all covered in the frost so I didn't notice it until after my exam I went out to my car to put my books in and I noticed my whole back window was shot out," Perry said.
Police say they received 9-1-1 calls from at least 16 locations.
Right now, they're hoping that someone, either a victim or a neighbor, had surveillance camera footage they could share with police.
If you have any information, you're asked to call Port St. Lucie police or TC Crime Stoppers at 1-800-273-TIPS.
