Fire rescue crews found two dogs in an abandoned mobile home fire in suburban West Palm Beach on Sunday morning, said Captain Albert Borroto, spokesman for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
PORT SAINT LUCIE, Fla. - A family escaped a Port St. Lucie house fire Wednesday evening but two of the pets were not as lucky, said District Chief Michael Bailey, spokesman for St. Lucie County Fire District.
Two cats died in the fire. A third cat was rushed to a local veterinary clinic in critical condition, Bailey said.
The fire was confined to the kitchen area of the house at 309 Hollyhuck Drive, Bailey said.
Bailey did not know how many people were displaced by the fire, which caused smoke damage to the residence.
The fire is under investigation.
