PORT ST. LUCIE - Two couples are in custody after police found a stockpile of stolen goods in their vehicle outside of a Publix located at 9100 US Highway 1 on Saturday.

According to Port St. Lucie Police, Publix employees witnessed Eric Dale Rawls and Kristine Mcpherson on surveillance cameras enter the store, head to the beauty aisle and load several items into a black handbag.

When officers met with the two outside, they located the couple's getaway vehicle with two children and two other adults inside.

Rawls and Mcpherson will be charged with grand theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The vehicle's other occupants, Carl Denis Myer and and Marvin Albert face similar charges.

The children were placed in Department of Children and Families custody.
