PORT ST. LUCIE — Port St. Lucie police on Wednesday identified one of two men accused Monday of burglarizing the home of a 94-year-old woman, who sustained injuries during the incident.
Police identified Justo Camacho-Villanueva, 52, as one of two suspects in the burglary to the home in the 2800 block of Southeast Pine Valley Street, police stated.
Police have warrants for Camacho-Villanueva's arrest on charges including burglary of an occupied dwelling with battery, battery on persons over 65 years old and grand theft.
Camacho-Villanueva has addresses in Port St. Lucie in the 2200 block of Southeast Pear Avenue and in the 1700 block of Southeast Vesthaven Court.
He is thought to be driving a red 1997 Ford F-150 pickup truck with Florida license plate 893-NFG. Camacho-Villanueva also is known to drive a white 2000 Ford F-150 with Florida tag BLU-Q85.
Police about 12:30 a.m. Monday went to the home on Southeast Pine Valley Street and learned a 94-year-old woman was inside when the burglars entered, Master Sgt. Frank Sabol, police spokesman, has said.
The burglars confronted the woman, who suffered minor injuries, police stated.
During the struggle, the woman pressed a button on a monitored, electronic alerting device on her wrist, Sabol said. That alerted a monitoring company and two emergency contacts.
A monitoring company official called on an intercom phone system in the woman's home.
"It appears that's what frightened the burglars," Sabol has said. "They grabbed whatever property they could and fled."
A neighbor who was an emergency contact came to check on the woman.
