A Port St. Lucie man who police say accidentally shot himself in the hand less than five months ago while showing his gun collection to friends was flown to a local hospital Sunday after being accidentally shot in the shoulder while showing his gun collection to friends.

Jamie Miller, 50, was hit by a .22-caliber bullet from a target pistol, said Master Sgt. Frank Sabol of the Port St. Lucie Police Department. The pistol was being handled by Daniel McNamara, 38, of St. Cloud, at a social gathering at Miller's home, in the 2400 block of Southwest Massey Street, when it appears to have accidentally discharged, Sabol said.

He said Miller shot himself in the left hand with a revolver April 14.

Sunday's incident remained under investigation.

Sabol said all gun owners should take a firearms safety class.
