PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - NewsChannel 5 is hosting an Impact 5 town hall meeting  to discuss how the housing crisis is impacting our community.  This is everyone’s chance to get involved.  Invite your family, friends, and neighbors, and let’s continue the discussion about what’s working to restore the American Dream, and talk about what needs to be improved. 


Michael Williams and Kelley Dunn are moderating the discussion. It’s Thursday, August 16, 2012 at the Port St. Lucie Civic Center at 9221 S.E. Civic Center Place, Port St. Lucie, FL 34952.  Admission is free and seating is limited to the first 150 people. Guests can be a part of the discussion by submitting their questions and addressing them to the panel.  Guests are asked to arrive by 7 pm. The meeting begins promptly at 8 pm.


The meeting will also air live in primetime on WPTV NewsChannel 5 at 8 pm. and be streamed live on wptv.com. Those who cannot attend can still participate. Viewers can submit their questions through our Facebook page: facebook.com/wptvnews or by tweeting us @WPTV.


Our panel, moderators and guests will discuss the state of the housing market, where the help is, and where things are heading. There will also be advice for first-time home buyers and anyone interested in the short sale market.


Our panel of experts include: John Tuccillo, Chief Economist for Florida REALTORS; Armando Fana, HUD Miami Field Director; Kevin Kent, Real estate Broker Associate at Platinum Properties Real Estate; Paul Baltrun, Director of The Homeowner Assistance Division of the Law Office of Paul Krasker;  and Russ Holland, Chief Lending Officer for Seacoast National Bank.
