PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - The Saint Lucie County school board has a new superintendent.
Board members on Tuesday night unanimously approved Genelle Yost, who had been the interim superintendent since July 1.
They said they were pleased with the job she's done the past two months and the need for new energy and excitement in the district.
They also credit Yost for the successful salary negotiations that led to the first raises school employees have seen in six years.
