PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Two men have fled troopers during a traffic stop on Interstate 95 near exit 108 early this morning, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP reports the men were in the northbound lanes of I-95, but took off when a trooper tried to pull them over. FHP officials said they did not chase the vehicle, but discovered their car near the Becker Road exit, where they are believed to have fled on foot.

One of the men, the passenger, was caught. The other man, the driver, fled on foot, but troopers say they know his identity.

FHP officials have not said why the men ran during the initial stop.
