PORT ST. LUCIE — Police arrested two siblings and turned up marijuana and cocaine inside a baby's crib Tuesday morning while executing a search warrant in the 2200 block of Southeast Berkshire Boulevard, a police spokesman said.
Investigators seized items including nearly a half pound of marijuana, about five grams of cocaine and a scale, which were in a baby crib, said Officer Tom Nichols, Port St. Lucie police spokesman. Police also seized a rifle and a 9 mm handgun.
"There was no baby in the crib," Nichols said. "The baby was outside in the living room."
Peter Anderson, 23, was arrested on charges including possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Anderson's brother, 26-year-old Nigel Anderson, was arrested on a possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana charge.
Police executed the search warrant about 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Nichols didn't know why the drugs and scale were in the crib.
He said police have been investigating the case "for a little bit," saying an anonymous tip came in.
Nichols said there were other people in the house.
