A man who claims he was cut off in traffic is facing charges.
Port St. Lucie police say Dean Bair pulled a gun as another driver tried to apologize for cutting him off.
The alleged victims told officers that they accidentally cut Bair off in traffic while traveling west on Port St. Lucie Boulevard Monday night.
They said when they pulled up to a light to say they were sorry, Bair pulled out a gun and yelled racial slurs, according to a police report.
That's when the the pair called 911 and began following Bair. They ended up in the parking lot of Shea’s Pub.
At that point another man, identified as Arnold Hashtani, came out of the pub and attacked one of the men following Bair, according to police.
Arriving officers arrested Bair for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and unlawful exhibition of a firearm during an altercation.
They say a search of his truck revealed that he had a concealed fully loaded AR-15 rifle with a 20 round magazine and a Glock .40 caliber. Police say Bair was also charged with carrying a concealed weapon and using a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Police charged Hashtani with simple battery.
