Financial incentives haven't been promised to lure Bass Pro Shops to the Treasure Coast, state and local officials said Thursday, as has been done in Brevard County.

Mayor Joanne Faiella has announced that a Bass Pro Shops store is coming to Port St. Lucie.
Faiella says the decision will mean 150 new jobs.
The store will fill the unoccupied Kohl's building near the Home Depot at the southeast corner of I-95 and Gatlin Boulevard.
“I knew they were the right fit for us because we are such an outdoor-loving community with some of the best fishing anywhere,” Faiella said in a written release. “We are all about boats, fishing, camping and nature activities and my task was simply to convince them of it. Once they came and saw for themselves, they knew they had a special place that has everything they could ask for and more."
The store is expected to open later this year if there are no snags in the approval process.
