Port St. Lucie investigators broke up a suspected marijuana growhouse early Wednesday on Southwest Cameo Boulevard, and charged the sole occupant, Darlene Lynn Carrier, with cultivating marijuana and felony possession of marijuana.

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - Port St. Lucie investigators broke up a suspected marijuana growhouse early Wednesday on Southwest Cameo Boulevard, and charged the sole occupant with cultivating marijuana and felony possession of marijuana.
At about 5:30 am, the Port St. Lucie Police Special Investigation Unit served a search warrant on the house in the 2000 block of Southwest Cameo Boulevard.
During the search, detectives located an elaborate marijuana grow operation in the master bedroom and bathroom of the home, according to Master Sgt. Frank Sabol, police spokesman.
Detectives disassembled the grow operation and seized 54 marijuana plants.
Darlene Lynn Carrier, 56, was arrested.
The investigation into the grow operation is continuing.
