ST.LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. - PORT ST. LUCIE — A 4-year-old boy and two women were injured following a Wednesday single-vehicle rollover crash in the area of Northwest St. James and Scepter drives, according to Port St. Lucie police and St. Lucie County Fire District officials.
Fire District crews at 1:41 p.m. were called to the incident, Fire District spokeswoman Catherine Chaney said.
She said a 4-year-old boy was flown to a southern trauma center in serious condition, while two women in their 20s were taken to a local hospital.
Port St. Lucie police said the crash occurred after the driver of the four-door car, which was southbound on St. James Drive, lost control and overcorrected before rolling over.
The incident happened near Rivers Edge Elementary School.
No other information was immediately available.
