PORT ST. LUCIE, FL - They strolled through the store, casually filling their shopping cart with merchandise.

Just as casually, the shoplifters walked out the front doors of the Bealls Outlet on U.S. 1 without paying.

A 69-year old store clerk chased the suspects into the parking lot, and Port St. Lucie Police say that's when the shoplifters sprayed pepper spray in the woman's face.

She collapsed to the ground and the suspects took off with the merchandise.

It happened Friday at the Bealls Outlet near the Port St. Lucie Civic Center.

Police are looking for three men and a woman caught on the store's surveillance cameras.

They possibly left in an older model black car with damage to the driver's side.

If you have any information, call Port St. Lucie Police or Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers at (800) 273-TIPS.
