ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. - A man believed to be in his 60s is in critical condition after being hit by a dump truck on US Highway 1, northbound, just south of Tiffany.
The St. Lucie County Fire Department responded to the scene where the man was flown by Air Rescue to St. Lucie Medical Center.
The accident happened in the northbound lanes, and the dump truck was blocking the two left lanes when rescue crews left the scene, according to a SLCFD spokesperson.
