Miguel Cabrera DUI stop video released

ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. - The camera rolls as Miguel Cabrera sits handcuffed in the backseat of a patrol car.

Outside, two St. Lucie County Sheriff's deputies talk about why he's under arrest.

The state attorney's office released much of the evidence they've collected in Cabrera's DUI case Wednesday.

The first baseman for the Detroit Tigers faces several charged following his February arrest. Charges include DUI and resisting arrest without violence.

The evidence against him includes patrol car video, pages of documents and a 911 call made from a Fort Pierce bar before Cabrera's arrest.

On the 911 call you can hear, "I guess there's a guy that's like refusing to leave or something....he's at the front door right now."

Deputies caught up with Cabrera on Okeechobee Road where his SUV had broken down.

The incident report says the baseball player's eyes were bloodshot and he was slurring his words.

As a deputy questioned him, the report says Cabrera grabbed a bottle of scotch and started drinking. As the patrol unit heads to the St. Lucie County Jail, Cabrera tried to get the deputy's attention. He was speaking in Spanish and said, "Hey...hey, hey hermano."

Cabrera later apologized to his teammates and fans.

He is playing again and his team, the Detroit Tigers, play the Florida Marlins in Jupiter Thursday night.
