Two people had to be rescued after their boat capsized in the Fort Pierce Inlet Monday morning.

Just after 10 a.m., the 18-foot boat was coming into the inlet when it ran into trouble.

A Coast Guard vessel responded after the boat flipped upside down in the water.

The Coast Guard and marine officers with the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office got the two people out of the water in just minutes.

They were met on shore by paramedics and are expected to be okay.

SEATOW has been called out to try and bring the boat back in.
