FORT PIERCE, Fla. - St. Lucie County Sheriff's deputies are investigating two overnight shootings in Fort Pierce, according to Mark Weinberg, spokesman for the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office.
Both incidents happened in the northern-St. Lucie County Sheraton Plaza neighborhood, says Weinberg.
The first incident happened shortly after 8 p.m. on Saturday in the 2900 block of Kingsley Drive.
According to Weinberg, two men and a woman were standing in the driveway when two vehicles drove by and started firing gunshots at them.
All three victims sustained non life-threatening injuries and were treated at a local hospital, confirms Weinberg.
The second incident happened about a mile away in the 2400 block of North 42nd Street, around 1:45 a.m. Sunday.
Weinberg says a resident in the area reported hearing four gunshots but didn't see anything.
Detectives responded and determined the home and a 1996 silver Mercury Grand Marquis were hit by gunfire.
No injures were reported.
Detectives say the two shootings are not related.
