The Today Show said angry internet users posted nasty online reviews of his Big Apple Pizza and Pasta restaurant.
Tcpalm.com reports the iconic image of his embrace of the president landed on the front page of The New York Times and Los Angeles Times.
Van Duzer has a big heart. Van Duzer said the president told him he wanted to stop by, meet him and recognize him because of his charitable work with the Van Duzer Foundation.
Every month, the restaurant raises money to help one family and also holds numerous blood drives.
