Scott Van Duzer might be enjoying fame after a bear hug of President Obama, but he's also discovering the flip side of notoriety.
According to NBC's Today Show, the Republican who voted for the president, and said he plans to vote for him again, said he faces boycott threates from other Republicans.
The Today Show said angry internet users posted nasty online reviews of hisĀ Big Apple Pizza and Pasta restaurant.
Tcpalm.com reports the iconic image of his embrace of the president landed on the front page of The New York Times and Los Angeles Times.
Van Duzer has a big heart. Van Duzer said the president told him he wanted to stop by, meet him and recognize him because of his charitable work with the Van Duzer Foundation.
Every month, the restaurant raises money to help one family and also holds numerous blood drives.
