FORT PIERCE — An unidentified man in his 50s or 60s was found dead under a boat at the Pelican Yacht Club at 7:14 a.m. Tuesday, according to the St. Lucie County Fire Rescue.
A person spotted the man and called rescuers. When they arrived at 7:20 a.m. "there was nothing we could do," said spokeswoman Catherine Cheney.
Fort Pierce Police are investigating.
Pelican Yacht Club is on South Hutchinson Island and it fronts on the Indian River Lagoon.
