One person is dead and another is in serious condition after a two-vehicle crash on Forest Hill Boulevard in suburban West Palm Beach Sunday night, according to the Palm Beach Sheriff's Office.
After exiting Casa Del Monte and heading west on Forest Hill Blvd., a 35-year-old man struck the curb on the median several times and later crossed into the path of a vehicle heading east, according to PBSO crash report.
The two vehicles -- a Nissan Altima and a Toyota RAV4 -- struck head-on at a slight angle.
The 35-year-old had to be extricated from his Altima and flown to Delray Community Hospital where he died from his injuries. The 55-year-old female driver of the RAV4 was taken to the same hospital and is listed in serious condition.
Deputies suspect the deceased driver of the Altima was under the influence of alcohol, according to the report. He was also not wearing a seatbelt, the report states.
