FORT PIERCE, Fla. - Two men are hospitalized in critical condition with injuries from a mobile home fire late Sunday night in the 600 block of South Farmer Market Road that is north of Midway Road and off U.S. 1, according to the St. Lucie County Fire District.

The $20,000 home was destroyed. By the time firefighters were called to the scene at 11:32 p.m., the structure was 70 percent on fire and a man was rescued from the building.

The other man was found outside. Both suffered burns or injuries from smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
