FORT PIERCE — Devontreal Denzell Jerrod Ingram was shot in the torso Sunday night at an apartment in the 1600 block of North 29th Street, officials said.
According to initial reports, the male was shot when he was approached by three other males around 10 p.m. at the Madison Cay apartments.
When officers arrived they found Ingram lying on the concrete outside of apartment 302.
Ingram sputtered blood from his mouth and repeatedly uttered "I got shot" as he clutched a rag to his chest, report police.
Ingram indicated to police that three suspects were wearing red bandanas and jeans and that they escaped through the woods north of Madison Cay Apartments.
Rescue workers arrived and immediately transported Ingram to the Lawnwood Medical Center.
The condition of Ingram isn’t immediately available.
