FORT PIERCE — A man spotted Tuesday afternoon with his pants and underwear down near an abandoned house in the area of North 24th Street and Avenue D faces charges, according to an affidavit released Wednesday.

A Fort Pierce police officer was called about 2:40 p.m. Tuesday to North 24th Street and Avenue D about a man "walking around naked." The officer saw Robert Leavitt, 52, on the side of an abandoned home with his shorts and underwear down.

Leavitt, of the 5700 block of Northwest Cleburne Street in Fort Pierce, was holding his genitals "in clear view of the public." He dropped a glass pipe with residue that tested positive for cocaine.

Leavitt was arrested on charges including possession of drug paraphernalia and indecent exposure.
