FT PIERCE, Fla. - LISTEN TO THE 911 CALL BELOW
Jacob Black is in custody on burglary after he tried to break into the home of a 25 year veteran on the Fort Pierce Police Department according to his arrest report.
Police say that Lt .Robert Curry and his wife heard noises outside their Fort Pierce home Monday morning.
Lt. Curry found Jacob Black trying to break into his bathroom window.
Investigators say Lt. Curry immediately called 911 on his police radio and also held the subject at gunpoint until on duty officers arrived.
Black was arrested by the responding officers.
Police says Black suffered several cuts and abrasions from the broken window and was transported to a local trauma center where he was treated and then taken to the St. Lucie County Jail.
Neither Lieutenant Curry, nor anybody in his family was injured during the incident.
Black is currently being held in the St. Lucie County jail on $150,000 bond.
