Fort Pierce National Guard 806th Military Police Company to deploy to Afghanistan

Military personnel from the Treasure Coast will soon be shipped to Afghanistan.

Around 110 members of the Fort Pierce-based National Guard 806th Military Police Company are being deployed.

They will conduct 'internment and resettlement operations.'

First they will travel to Fort Bliss, Texas where they will undergo further training.

A deployment ceremony will take place Sunday September 30th, at 10 a.m., at the Havert L. Fenn Center. It's located at 2000 Virginia Avenue in Fort Pierce.
