Fort Pierce mayor's race too close to call

FORT PIERCE, Fla. - The Fort Pierce Mayor's race is too close to call. Vince Gaskin leads Linda Hudson by just five votes.

The candidates were both at the Supervisor of Elections Office today to ask about a recount. The canvassing board is scheduled to do one Saturday morning. A recount is mandatory for results within point-five percent. 

"I have no doubt that they're gonna do the job the way it needs to be done," said Gaskin.

"I'm determined to do the best that I can and turn it around," Hudson said.

The board will also count Fort Pierce's 101 provisional ballots tomorrow evening. Meanwhile, the candidates anxiously await the results. It just goes to show every vote truly counts.
