FORT PIERCE, Fla. - Right now the search continues for the person who struck and killed a mother of three.
Rachel Robles was out walking in Fort Pierce around midnight Saturday when she was struck.
Balloons now fly from a roadside memorial off West Angle Road in Fort Pierce.
The balloons were meant to be Mother's Day gifts, her fiancee Mark Terrien said.
"She was the most beautiful thing in the world. She was my life," he said. "She gave me these three beautiful children and now somebody took her away from me."
Terrien said they had made plans for Mother's Day and the summer with their kids.
"We were suppose to go to Red Lobster yesterday," he said while fighting off tears. "We were suppose to go to Disney this summer for the kids."
Those plans are now dismantled after Rachel was hit by a car around midnight Saturday.
The St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office said the driver drove away after hitting her.
Deputies said they don't have many leads, but were out at the scene again Monday looking for clues.
"She's not a dog. She's not a cat. She's not a hog. If anyone knows anything just come forward," Terrien pleaded. "Accidents happen."
People found Rachel lying on the side of West Angle Road which is about a mile away from her home on Godwin Road.
Her fiancee said sometimes she'd wander off in the middle of the night.
"She's bipolar," he said. "She wanders off sometimes, but she always came back."
Terrien said they'd been working on her wandering.
He never thought it was that big of a problem until now.
Now that he's lost the girl he's loved since he was a teenager.
"If anybody knows anything...just come on man," he added. "Say something."
