FT. PIERCE, Fla. - Two people are now in custody after being arrested Wednesday night by police in Fort Pierce.
Police said an officer saw a man, later identified as Donny Riviera, who was with a 15-year-old, near the Boys and Girls Club at 2201 Avenue G.
The officer said that the juvenile was openly carrying a firearm.
Both the juvenile and Riviera were apprehended by officers.
The teen, according to investigators, was charged with openly carrying the firearm, possession of a firearm by a juvenile and trespassing on the property. He was transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
Riviera is facing charges with trespassing on the property as well as resisting arrest without violence.
Police said they have recovered the weapon.
