FORT PIERCE, Fla. - A seafood restaurant in Fort Pierce needs extensive repairs after a fire broke out in the kitchen early Sunday morning.
According to St. Lucie County Fire Rescue, the fire developed around 2:30 a.m. Sunday at 12A Buoy Restaurant in Fort Pierce.
When firefighters arrived, they saw heavy smoke in the building. Crews entered the structure and found flames coming out of the hood and vent system above the gas grill.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire to just the kitchen area.
According to St. Lucie County Fire Rescue, the blaze appears to be the result of an electrical fire.
No injuries were reported.
