ST. LUCIE COUNTY - Seventeen seniors at Fort Pierce Westwood High School were suspended following the administration’s look into vandalism that forced the school to cancel Monday classes, a spokeswoman said.
A 18th student, an underclassman, also was suspended, schools spokeswoman Janice Karst said.
The suspension will keep the 17 seniors out of the June 5 graduation ceremony, Karst said. The students will still earn their diplomas, she said.
The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office said its investigation into the vandalism is continuing.
