Caskey Moody: Suspect identified by authorities in Boynton Beach shooting

The suspect in connection to a Friday night shooting in unincorporated Palm Beach County is identified by authorities.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said 34-year-old Caskey Moody of Boynton Beach is being charged with Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Battery w/ a Firearm and Felon in Possession of a firearm.

Moody was arguing with his wife at about 8 p.m. Friday on the 4000 block of Old Spanish Trail when she rushed over to a neighbor's home for help. When the victim tried to walk over to Moody to calm him down, deputies said that's when Moody used a .45 caliber gun and shot him several times in the upper back.

The victim was transported to a Delray Medical Center to be treated for his wounds and released with non life-threatening injuries.
